Scales Aren’t Just a Fish Thing TM is a method of learning music in an environment that
prepares the student for life’s activities. Life lessons are slipped in through the process of learning to
study, learning to memorize, self-discipline by scheduling practice and carrying it out. Each step of
building the whole experience of becoming a musician explores the way we learn, the way we assimilate
information and the ‘why’ behind the way we teach.
Scales Aren’t Just a Fish Thing tm is a method built on an understanding of the brain and how it
works.
The music theory program works with any other method
of teaching and dramatically enhances the teacher’s ability to raise the bar on music
education’s level of excellence and the enjoyment and satisfaction the student experiences.
The Scales Aren’t Just a Fish Thing Method,
Goes in the backdoor of learning
and
Ignites Sleeping Brains tm
Big promise, I know, but if you run with me on this, I assure you that you will not only
come out on the other side of the lessons without some positive attribute to carry with
you through life.
These lessons will give you a path for doing and learning just about anything in life.
What you will be getting is a ‘template’ to help move you forward into life with
excellence.
I’ve chosen these three areas of concentration.
For all musicians, I have music theory
games and a method of learning to read music through the backdoor.
Scales Aren’t Just a Fish Thing
The subtle life lessons included in the study of music are there anyway. We will learn to
recognize them, use them, and allow them to seep into the other areas of our lives.
Obviously, learning the parts of an instrument seems straightforward. But there is little
in life that is straightforward that doesn’t hold some sort of silent agenda. Mine is to
give us both a library of stories and experiences that we can relate to and use as a
launching pad for developing life lessons.
Enjoy the journey one ‘bit’ of information at a time.
Results are the by-product.
The journey, the process, is what we need to commit to.
