TheIntervalSong Key of C
Play in Third Position.
First learn how to play the intervals with the first finger.
The next set of interval songs will be played with the second finger, third finger and then the fourth.
The Interval Song Key of G
One sharp = F. Start on the G on the D string in third position.
The Interval Song Key of D
Start in 4th position on your first finger. Notice that the F has a green circle around it. That means that it is sharp. The key signature shows two sharps, F and C. Remember the saying,
"Funny = F is always the first sharp.
Cows = (C)always the second sharp. If there are two sharps, the first is ALWAYS an F and the second is ALWAYS a C
Giggle = (G)
Deliriously = (D)
After = (A)
Eating = (E)
broccoli = (B)"
The Interval Song Key of A
Start on your first finger again. This means that you are in 4th position. Without reading the music, start playing on the A on the G string on the first finger.
Three sharps - F, C, G.
Then why is it the key of A? To find the key, go up 1/2 step from the last sharp. Easy as that!!
The Interval Song Key of E
Four sharps, = F, C, G, D, = 1/2 step up from D# is E. This song is in the key of E Major. Start on the first finger on the D string. Once you feel comfortable with this, start in 4th position - on the E on the A string. Do this without looking at music.
Play the Major Minor Madness Game. Learn the sharps associated with the key automatically by playing a game.
Major Minor Madness
Sharps and flats create keys or teams of notes, the 'Majors' and the 'Minors'.

This game is a study game to teach which teams use the same notes, or team members and the order of sharps and flats.
